New Purse Necessities and Big Big News!
I've got a lot to talk about, so I figured the easiest way to share information on all platforms is to make a big ol' post about it. Let's start with my new purse:
I got this purse from Matt and Nat, a brand I'd never heard of prior, after a long and hard search for a new purse. Specifically of the hip and round variety. The Hope Purse by Matt and Nat is the perfect size and a lovely fit for any outfit. The best part is: 100% of the proceeds from the Hope purse goes to a charity of your choosing. How lovely is that? Made out of a vegan leather and a lining made of recyclable material, this bag is truly perfect. I'm not even sponsored to say this, I paid for this bag, and I just love it.
My Hope bag holds everything I need: My wallet, pug change purse, assortment of besame lipsticks (dusty rose, besame red), my new obsession, mac liquid lipstick in Back in Vogue, and my current scent of choice, Mimosa by Commodity.
And on to the news:
Yesterday Sam and I put down the deposit on a house that we're going to live in together. Dominic is coming too, and Jayne of course. We've found the loveliest house in a secluded area of Rochester's South Wedge, and we're excited about taking the step towards living together. The other exciting plus of this house is that I will be able to sew from home, moving my studio out of the hungerford building and into our new house.
I know it might be surprising to some of the Rochestarians who read my blog that i'll be moving out of the hungerford, but it's the right move. It's a bittersweet decision; I've learned a lot about myself in the hungerford, about my sewing, and about my artist community. The hungerford is the reason I met Sam! I fell in love there. But as my focus shifts more towards reflective self sewing and blogging, I realized that my hungerford space no longer fit my needs.
Sam, Dom, and I will be having a big blow out garage sale style open house on August first friday, so look forward to hearing more info about that soon! I've also been posting a lot of my personal clothes and some handmade stuff on the app Poshmark under the username @marymadethat. Deep discounts for handmade clothes people!
I look forward to the future, and I look forward to sharing it with you.
Wish us luck!
